Re: Abandon Grammar, Ye Who Enter Here!
(I was totally joking about the Tai Chi, which also has about the same practical value as fencing. -.-)
Ah, but if you took MMA, you would know when to duck away, where to hit to get them to drop the gun, and how to run away VERY fast.
VERY VERY fast.

Pfft! (rolls eyes) I can do that. Fencing teaches you to move with and react to your opponent, as well as where to hit. AND it gives you strong legs for running.

It teaches you where to hit with a /sword/. It's quite a bit different when you've only got your hands. You need more force. Yet again, very little practical value that you couldn't easily get somewhere else with MORE practical value. (And is cheaper. Cheaper is good. I'm a spendthrift, can you tell?)

I see that I will not convince you if I say fencers can fly. We must agree to disagree.

Hey, we all have our strengths and weaknesses. Mine happens to be one and the same - stubbornness and bluntness. Good and bad.

I understand. I have an extremely obsessive nature. It is a blessing, and a curse.

I'm a bit obsessive as well. However, mine's confined to...
Must... put... things... in... order...
And stuff like that. =D

HAHAHAHA now I know what I'll do. I'll come to your house and mess up all the books on your bookshelf.

Re: Abandon Grammar, Ye Who Enter Here!
It's not so much... things. It's more, um, having to do things a certain way? I guess? Like... I can't cook unless the dishes are DONE. I can't do the paperwork at my job effectively unless all the files are alphebatized and in their baskets and all the sheets are organized into boy, girl, and reading piles. So rearranging my bookshelf wouldn't bother me in the least, I'm afraid.
